Legal Assistance of Olmsted County is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people in Olmsted County.

The landlord and tenant hotline is intended to provide advice on the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants. Advocates (non-attorneys) are trained by LAOC to respond to calls by giving general information and resources. The advocate does not provide legal advice. Advocates should strive to return calls within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. Advocates volunteer for one week at a time, typically consisting of an overall time commitment of approximately two hours.
